Well, long time for a public update, but I wanted to share our progress.
NOTE:
If you would like to SEE the current progress please contact me directly.
GUI OPERATION!
We have had quite a few major GUI updates to Rustys Gauntlets. Version 0.97! Abisso has been amazing with his revisions, and we now have a GUI that is almost at 100%. Gone are the Gem Sequences that would load a template for the player to draw, we have simplified it so that the player need only pick a dot on the Grid and begin drawing.
BACKGROUNDS!
We have two absolutely gorgeous backgrounds done by a member of pixeljoint, with one more being revised and TWO more being commissioned as we speak. These are phenomenal quality and could be taken right out of LOOM (or dare I say they may be better than what LOOM had).
CHARACTERS!
As I type this, I am having 5 NPC (Non Playable Characters) being commissioned for player interaction during his time in the Miners Guild. It is my hope to have these completed in about 2 weeks.
STORYLINE!
I am doing my best to write the story for Chapter 2, for when Rusty reaches the surface. Charlie (sag) and I have spoken a little bit about a few fun plot twists we would like to incorporate. I am holding myself a personal goal to have the preliminary Chapter 2 for New Years Day. Nice little present for the Board.

HELP WANTED:
I would like to hear from any fans with artistic talent to contact me. There are a few artistic items that are NOT pixel art that I am hoping to have commissioned. These items are:
Other Art:
Box Art Cover. Art to be parallel to the LOOM Cover with the Weavers hands, except it will feature Rustys Gauntlets and the Storm Forge in the background.
Art for the In Game Manual (PDF).
Art for a Forge version of the Book of Patterns. Imagery will mimic the style of the black/white pictures depicting the Drafts, but in this case will show the effects of the Schematics.
Pixel Art:
I have a list of pixel art elements for the backgrounds we currently have in place. This includes Character Animation, breaking glass, animals, steam, nature elements, lava flow, and all sorts of other crazyness.
Art is a necessity for this project and it will be the one thing to slow us down. So I hope this grabs someones interest. Do you have any skill, or perhaps know a friend or internet colleague who would like to add to his or her portfolio? Spread the word.
